Guyaba

Food has always been a big and important part of the Paraguayan culture. What they eat define who they are. On a normal, sunny day, as you walk through the town, you would see groups of Paraguayan gathering and passing around the tereré. People usually gather on weekends to have a big asado with their family or friends. Food is what connects and brings the people together in the Paraguayan culture. Some traditional foods are Mbeyu, sopa paraguaya, chipa guazu, chipa, payagua mascada, pastel mandio, milanesa, empanada, tallarin, guiso, croquetas, vori vori, mandioca, dulce de guayaba, mate/terere/cocido, flan, pave, etc.
